Wellness coaching and practical resources

Make more of the life you get back.

Cutting back or stopping drinking can give you back clearer mornings, steadier energy, and hours that feel like your own again. Through Room for More, Kim Martel helps you turn that regained time into routines and experiences that support the life you want.

“I know how strange it can feel to get your time back and not yet know what belongs there.”

Kim Martel · Founder and wellness coach

I have been alcohol-free for more than five years.

What came afterward made room for more fitness, stronger relationships, reading and writing, and unhurried time with the people I love. It also required something that did not appear overnight: new routines for all those newly available hours.

That experience is at the heart of Room for More. I especially want to support people who are newly alcohol-free and asking what comes next. I understand the transition personally, but my attention stays on learning who you are, what supports you, and what kind of life you want to build.

I am naturally funny and personable, but I take your growth seriously. As a coach, I am candid, persistent, consistent, supportive, and deeply invested. I will challenge you without judging you.

Outside of coaching, I read about nature, mindfulness, poetry, and health. I compete in Olympic weightlifting, love boating and Ocean City, Maryland, and feel equally at home near the smaller waterways and trails of Lancaster County. I am also a beginner surfer with every intention of improving.

What we actually help with

More time matters when you know what to do with it.

Drinking can become the transition after work, the reward at the end of a long day, the weekend plan, or the quickest way to switch off. When you drink less, those hours come back. That can feel exciting, unfamiliar, or both.

Room for More helps you give that time a shape. Together, we build practical routines around sleep, nourishment, movement, stress, connection, and the moments when old patterns usually take over. The goal is not to optimize every minute. It is to create days that feel steadier, fuller, and more like yours.

You will leave with ideas you can use in real life, small experiments to try, and a clearer plan for mornings, evenings, weekends, and social situations.

Wake up with a plan.

Support sleep, energy, and a morning rhythm that helps the day begin well.

Change the after-work pattern.

Create a reliable way to decompress without automatically reaching for a drink.

Give the hours somewhere to go.

Make room for meals, movement, hobbies, connection, quiet, and genuine rest.

Build a life you want to be present for.

Plan weekends around adventures, projects, relationships, and recovery that actually restore you.

Personal by design

Not a formula. A process of finding what works for you.

There is no single ideal morning routine, perfect way to move, or universal answer for what should replace drinking. Your patterns, energy, responsibilities, relationships, and reasons for making a change are your own. Your program should reflect that.

Both paid programs are designed to become personal in use. The self-guided course uses reflection prompts, decision points, and real-life experiments so you shape your own path. In Strong Start, Kim customizes the goals, pacing, practices, and accountability around your life.

This work will ask something of you. You will pay closer attention, question familiar patterns, and try choices that may feel new. You will also have a supportive structure that makes the challenge feel purposeful and manageable, never punishing.

One of the most valuable things you will build is a clearer understanding of yourself: what drains you, what restores you, what you need, and what helps you follow through.

01 · Notice

Learn your patterns.

See the moments, needs, strengths, and triggers that shape your choices.

02 · Stretch

Try something real.

Practice small, meaningful changes in the situations where you actually live your life.

03 · Build

Keep what works.

Adjust without shame, build on what helps, and create a plan that belongs to you.

Two personalized paths

Choose the support that fits now.

Use guided reflection to shape an independent path, or work privately with Kim on a fully customized plan.

Make Room

This is not a rigid checklist. Reflection prompts, decision points, and choose-your-own experiments help you learn your patterns and shape the material around your goals. Work through sleep, energy, meals, movement, stress, social life, and daily structure, then keep what genuinely helps.

The bigger idea

When alcohol takes up less space, more of your day becomes available.

More energy. More time. More presence. More confidence.

The goal is not to fill every minute or become relentlessly productive. It is to have more choice about how your days feel and what you build with them.

Who this is for

You may be in the right place if…

Room for More welcomes different goals. You can be curious, cutting back, taking a break, or newly alcohol-free.

  • 01You are curious about drinking less without adopting a label.
  • 02You are taking a break and want it to feel useful, not empty.
  • 03You have stopped drinking and want to rebuild energy, routines, and confidence.
  • 04You are ready for private support with the life you are building next.

All of these count. You do not need to call yourself anything to be here.

Building a stronger alcohol-free life

The practical part of change.

Wellness is not a perfect routine. It is a set of foundations that make daily life steadier, more enjoyable, and more your own.

01

Sleep and energy

Build steadier mornings and more restorative nights, a little at a time.

02

Movement and physical well-being

Move in ways that support energy, mood, mobility, and confidence.

03

Food and nourishment

Support your energy with practical eating, not rules for their own sake.

04

Stress and recovery

Find ways to wind down that genuinely help you recover.

05

Daily structure

Create routines for the hours that used to belong to drinking.

06

Connection and social life

Make evenings, friendships, and plans feel like yours again.
